Zoning Fees

(a) The following fee schedule defines the fee that shall accompany each zoning permit application. If a zoning permit application contains more than one item from the schedule, the total of each fee affected from the schedule is required. Where a fee does not exist for an application, the Zoning Inspector shall determine the required fee based on similar or like categories of fee requirements. If an application must be resubmitted due to a plan or documentation error, omission, or alteration, the second submittal shall be free, but any additional submittal shall require the payment of fees again. In addition to this fee schedule, bonds, deposits, and additional fees may be required elsewhere by the North Perry Village zoning ordinance.

  1. No fee required for an application for a building, structure, pond, or water system used exclusively for agricultural purposes, roadside stands displaying products grown or produced by the occupant, or for a Special Flood Hazard Area Development Permit, or for a Community Reinvestment application, or as shall be exempted elsewhere in the North Perry Village zoning ordinance.
  2. One dollar ($1.00) per square foot of sign surface measured on one side only, but no less than a minimum of five dollars ($5.00) for the construction or reconstruction of a sign, except where a sign fee is exempted by the North Perry Village zoning ordinance.
  3. Ten dollars ($10.00) for the construction or reconstruction of an accessory building, barn, storage building, garage, fence, wall, deck, patio, and belvedere.
  4. Ten dollars ($10.00) for the construction of a residential driveway or parking area.
  5. Ten dollars ($10.00) to relocate, move, disassemble, or demolish a building.
  6. Ten dollars ($10.00) for the construction or reconstruction of a swimming pool.
  7. Ten dollars ($10.00) for a change of use, or use as a model home, or new business, or home occupation business.
  8. Ten dollars ($10.00) for the location and use of a camping trailer, storage trailer, mobile tool and supply storage, construction trailer, or mobile construction office.
  9. Ten dollars ($10.00) for the construction of an addition to an existing residential dwelling.
  10. One hundred dollars ($100.00) for sand or gravel excavation, drilling, filling, dumping, surface extraction, or roadway.
  11. One hundred dollars ($100.00) plus ten cents ($.10) per square foot of the total structure area, or the actual costs incurred by the Village for engineering review, whichever is greater, for the construction or reconstruction of a residential dwelling.
  12. One hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) for each application for a lot line adjustment.
  13. One hundred fifty dollars ($150.00), or the actual costs incurred by the Village for engineering review, whichever is greater, for the construction of five (5) or more dwellings
  14. One hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) for each lot created by an application for a lot split.
  15. One hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) for the construction, reconstruction, or addition of a commercial or industrial driveway or parking lot.
  16. One hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) plus ten cents ($.10) per square foot, or the actual costs incurred by the Village for engineering review, whichever is greater, for an application that would create or extend a nonconforming use, or a conditional use.
  17. Three hundred fifty dollars ($350.00) plus ten cents ($.10) per square foot of the total structure area, or the actual costs incurred by the Village for engineering review, whichever is greater, for the construction or reconstruction or addition to a commercial or industrial building.
  18. Three hundred fifty dollars ($350.00) plus ten cents ($.10) per square foot of the total structure area, for the construction or reconstruction or addition to a wireless telecommunications facility, antenna, and/or tower.
  19. One thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500.00) for a subdivision application plus one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) for each lot created, plus a deposit of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) for administrative review costs including legal and engineering costs for each of the preliminary plan, construction plan, and final plat (a total of three deposits), plus a deposit of two percent (2%) of the approved estimated construction cost to cover construction inspection and construction administrative costs of North Perry Village. Where these costs exceed the deposits paid, the additional balance shall be due within thirty days of notification.
  20. One hundred dollars ($100.00), or the actual costs incurred by the Village for engineering review, whichever is greater, for the construction or reconstruction of pond, lake, watercourse, retention basin, and storm drain system.

Notice: All fees and deposits are to be paid at the time the application is submitted. Make all checks payable to North Perry Village. Multiple applications or applications that apply to more than one fee are cumulative (added together).
